About the Artist

I am a freelance artist who sells original landscape and seascape paintings. I have a background in nursing and a love for art! After graduating as a mature student in 2004 with a BA (Hons) in Creative Expressive Therapies, I became a self-employed freelance artist.

Please contact me for further information if you see a painting that is of interest.

My creative process starts by sketching my chosen subject in Watercolour/Mixed media technique en plein air. This enables me to capture the beautiful Peak District National Park landscape where I live, or the ever-changing vistas of the sea/coast around our wonderful coastline whenever I am on holiday.
At home in the studio I work from sketchbooks, which enables me to process & capture my emotional response to that given time. I mainly work in Oils/Watercolour/Mixed media with pallet knife, brush/hand onto canvas, board or paper.
The spontaneity of working from my sketchbooks make it an expressive and joyful painting technique that hopefully resonates and involves you the viewer.
